sup my readers (all 4 of you) It's Sunday, 18th of March, and I am sitting in a meeting room right now with other 20 or so people who got the call to be here to review the test scenario of the system that we're building for a local TV Home Shopping company. It just happens that the parts of the system which I am responsible for is integrated at every part of this integration test that's coming up. My parts are like the fat of the choicest beef part (like a juicy piece of Kobe Steak) and I'll leave it at that for people to understand what I mean. hehe... This morning, I went to church right before I came to work. Since the service I usually attend is in the afternoon, I went to a church nearby my house. It's a fairly large-sized church with a pretty well-known pastor. Actually, this church would be top-10 biggest church in town had it been in Atlanta. haha.. but because there are so many big churches everywhere in Korea (and a good number them in Bundang), it just feels like a "fairly large-sized church." (An interesting bit of info... Pastor Joe's uncle's church is also in Bundang... and that's a decent sized church too) Whoa... Sidetracked... So the pastor spoke about how a church he was pastoring didn't have A/C back in the early 80's. And when he brought it up with the congregation, some people left because they felt that a church should not lose the essence of what it is by spending its money on air conditioning. I got to thinking... aren't most of the stuff that make people leave the church as trivial as this...? Also, he told a touching story of a family. So the daughter went to the top school in Korea and was very beautiful. Well, she decided to go stay in a middle eastern country for 2 or so years for missions. She came down with Hepatitis a, and she eventually passed away. Her last words were that the parents should not be discouraged at this, and become resentful in any way. The parents took this to heart and gave a missions offering of about $30,000 that they had saved up for their daughter's marriage. Man, upto that point, I wasn't too happy about coming to work. But God touched my heart through the sermon and I was encouraged to have a good attitude. What's interesting is that there is no direction connection between the sermon and my situation. But when the Holy Spirit touches my heart, my attitude towards everything changes... Praise God. Yesterday, I watched the movie with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore.. Music & Lyrics or something? My gf wanted to watch it. I wanted to watch "300", but I knew it would be a bad choice. Well, not as good a choice anyway. It was a typical Hollywood romantic comedy and such a predictable story. But I don't hate that about Hollywood. hmmm... what else...? this meeting is never gonna end... blahhh... |
